Christmas Eve Box

It's Christmas Eve and there's a knock on the door. Your kids hear a jingle of bells and when they check, they see tiny snow dusted footprints (baby shoes and flour) on the ground and a mysterious box addressed to them!

Imagine their excitement when they realised it's come from the North Pole, directly from Santa himself!

If you love the idea of this, you can make your own Christmas Eve Boxes for your children too. Here's the scoop...

A gift box is a perfect idea, but if you can't find one, a shoe box covered in Christmas wrapping will suffice.

Click on the link to download the box cover. Just add a text box to personalise it.

I've also added some awesome Free Christmas fonts to download, if you're feeling super festive!

Inside they find a certificate signed by Santa himself, declaring them officially on the 'Nice List'

packet of 'Reindeer Food' (Oats, Coco-pops, some glitter, doggy treats; basically anything that your pets will benefit from once it gets sprinkled on the grass)

A 'Magic Key' to hang outside for Santa to use to enter (because we live in South Africa and not all of us have chimneys)

For this you could use an old key that's lying around or just buy a generic from your local locksmith.

A Checklist for them to tick off before bed, and Clement C. Moore's 'Twas the night before Christmas' to read before they retire for the night, eagerly waiting Santa's arrival.

Other things you could add to your Christmas Eve Box are:

- A plate and cup for Santa's Cookies and Milk. (The Tree plate was from Woolies last season, but the rectangular one is from Pick 'n Pay)

- Some Christmas Chocs and Candy Canes (Woolies and Pick 'n Pay)

- Popcorn and a Christmas Movie... Think, The Grinch, Home Alone, The Star)

- Hot Chocolate and Mini Marshmallows (In a cute Christmas Mug?)

- A decoration to hang up on the tree

- A Christmas Stocking

- Christmas Pyjamas

Maybe you have your own ideas of things you could add into the box? I'd love it if you shared them with me on the Gram!

Have fun, and if you're making your own box, I would love for you to tag me on Instagram (@champagne_and_chaos) - (find the link by clicking on the camera below) to share the love.

Merry Christmas!
