The Proposal...

The build up...

If you know me (Sadhna) well, you will very well know that keeping anything from me is damn near impossible. With my sletuh-like personality and CSI-trained mind, no secret goes uninvestigated. A bit contradictory, I'm told, when I claim to love surprises. However, it seems like I've met my match in Naveshin.

 

All I was told was that I should pack my bag and get ready for a surprise location getaway for my 25th birthday.

After weeks of snooping erm... investigating, my attempt at location discovery was deemed unsuccessful. 

 

 

The day arrives...

After hours of packing...unpacking...repacking, the day before the birthday arrives and just before I could spontaeously combusts from anticipation, Navz wisks me away N2 bound... ​

One hour, a bit and 7 wrong guesses later we enter the gates of the ever amazing 5 star Zimbali Hotel!

What a treat!

*At this stage one must note that there are absolutely no suspicious thoughts as it is all a birthday surprise...

 

 

The birthday...

Birthday morning dawns sunny and unassuming. After breakfast and cocktails at the pool, celebrity style, Navz surprises me with a luxurious spa day treat. Massages and pampering fit for a queen....

 

Fast forward to dinner, a golf cart ride back to the room, Navz opening the door, me walking in and.....

 

Rose petals scattered everywhere! Champagne on ice! Chocolate-coated Strawberries and cream, a filled bubble bath, a bowled-over Sadz still thinking 'What a lovely birthday surprise', and Navz standing in front of me, ring box opened and .... well, the rest, as they say, is just between us but it goes along the lines of: And we lived happily ever after.
